Outside the Huddle and Blitz are counting down who they feel are the top 50 individual players in northeast Indiana heading into the 2024 season.
Our highest preseason honor, the 6th annual First Eleven profiles the top players (in the mind of Outside the Huddle) entering the fall.
No. 4: WR/DB Stratton Fuller, senior, Columbia City
Whether on the basketball court of the football field, if you need a big play, Fuller is your guy.
From big-time buzzer-beating shots to huge blocked kicks and dynamic big-chunk plays, Fuller has been such a treat to watch over the years at Columbia City.
Now in his final prep campaign, there is no doubt that Fuller will add to his lengthy high school highlight reel this fall.
Fuller can do it all. He can block kicks. He can make plays from the slot and on the outside. He can out-jump defensive backs for jump balls. He can haul in errant throws with one hand. And on defense? He has seven total interceptions.
Fuller has scored 32 total touchdowns in his career with the Eagles – 13 of which came last year, nine receiving, three rushing and an interception return for six. He is a stalwart on special teams, can run the ball when needed and is incredibly difficult to defend in the passing game.
Fuller handles his business on and off the field. He is committed to Army and will head to West Point after graduating. There is no better spot for a kid who is everything you’;’d want between the lines, in the locker room and in the classroom.
COACH’S QUOTE ON STRATTON FULLER“Stratton is what every coach wants in a player. Not only is he one of the most talented players that we have ever had a Columbia City, he is one of the hardest workers as well. Stratton has been dedicated to his craft for a long time and brings others along with him in the work!”– Columbia City coach Brett Fox
