Outside the Huddle and Blitz are counting down who they feel are the top 50 individual players in northeast Indiana heading into the 2024 season.

Our highest preseason honor, the 6th annual First Eleven profiles the top players (in the mind of Outside the Huddle) entering the fall.

No. 10: RB/OLB Seth Pruitt, senior, West Noble

It seems like Pruitt has been around a lot longer, because he has been a menace since his days as a freshman for the Chargers.

For his career, Pruitt has rushed for over 3,000 yards, including last year when he ran for 1,454 yards and 25 touchdowns on 218 carries. And that’s with some nagging injuries that kept him from being 100 percent at times.

Add to last year’s numbers 109 yards receiving and a pair of scores and you have one of the most impactful offensive threats in the area up in Ligonier.

What’s so impressive about Pruitt is the fact that he seemingly never tires. He averaged close to 20 carries per game a season ago, going over 110 yards on the ground in eight of 11 contests. He is a rugged runner who craves contact and loves to deliver punishment with the ball in his hands.

Perhaps that is why, for the first time, Pruitt will also see significant action on defense this fall for West Noble at linebacker.

COACH’S QUOTE ON SETH PRUITT“Seth is a special player who is willing to do whatever is necessary for the team to succeed. I am anxious to see what he is capable of healthy. I expect him to play both sides of the ball for the first time in his career. He could be a difference maker on defense.”– West Noble coach Monte Mawhorter
