OTH First Eleven 2022: No. 2 Mylan Graham

New Haven’s Mylan Graham works in the secondary during a June 22 OPS 7v7 event at Carroll.

Outside the Huddle and Blitz are counting down who they feel are the top 50 individual players in northeast Indiana heading into the 2022 season.

Our highest preseason honor, the fourth-annual First Eleven profiles the top players (in the mind of Outside the Huddle) entering this fall.

No. 2: WR/S Mylan Graham, junior, New Haven

No one in recent memory has had an ascension quite like Graham over this past summer.

After hauling in 40 receptions for 720 yards and nine touchdowns as a sophomore, Graham hit the camp circuit and saw his star power explode. Ohio State offered on June 1, with Notre Dame, Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee and Penn State all following suit over the last two-plus months.

What are Power Five schools interested in when it comes to Graham? His ability to separate from defenders. Over the summer in scrimmages and 7v7, teams would double and sometimes triple team Graham in coverage, only to watch him beat the defenders time and time again.

He is tremendous in and out of his breaks and at a touch over 6-foot isn’t overly tall for a top wideout but plays bigger than he is.

Rated a four-star recruit by 247Sports, Graham is poised for a huge season with New Haven. The offensive scheme should be simple, get the ball to Graham at every single opportunity.

Graham will also see action on defense in the secondary as he lends his skill set to the Bulldogs elsewhere.

“Mylan is an exceptional talent at WR. We look forward to seeing the great things he will help our team accomplish this year. Mylan has also done a great job stepping up as one of our leaders within our position group so far this year.” – New Haven coach Kyle Booher
