Huntington North hires Bob Prescott as new football coach

Huntington North has its new head football coach.

Athletic Director Kristine Teusch confirmed Tuesday that Bob Prescott will helm the Vikings program in 2019. Prescott last coached at Peru High School, coaching the Tigers to a 32-42 record from 2011-17. He will serve as one of Huntington North’s dean of students during the school day.

Prescott resigned from Peru football after the 2017 campaign after taking a job as an assistant principal with the school.

Prescott replaces Rick Burnau, who went 9-32 in four seasons with Huntington North, including a 4-6 campaign in 2018.
