
For the eighth consecutive season, Outside the Huddle is proud to announce our EXCLUSIVE player All-Area basketball team for the boys as their seasons have concluded.
These are the 16 top players, as seen by OTH, during the 2024-2025 season. They are listed alphabetically by grade.
Below our official 16 player team are 15 more boys basketball players that make up our first ever OTH All-Area Honorable Mention group. Why Honorable Mention after seven years without one? Well there were a lot of players who deserved consideration and therefore some recognition. And OTH has never been afraid to change things up.
OTH ALL-AREA 2026
KADEN GRAU, WESTVIEW, SENIOR
Grau put together a standout senior campaign during the 2025-2026 season for Westview, serving as one of the driving forces behind the Warriors’ run to the Class 2A state finals. Averaging 18.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1 steal per game, Grau showcased a well-rounded offensive game while also providing steady leadership and playmaking throughout the year. His impact went beyond the stat sheet, as he helped lead Westview to a 27-2 record and a near state championship before a narrow loss in the title game. Capping off his career, Grau was honored as the Class 2A recipient of the prestigious Arthur L. Trester Mental Attitude Award, recognizing his excellence in leadership, character and performance on and off the court. Grau is committed to continue his basketball career at Hope College.
DECLAN GRIESER, BLUFFTON, SENIOR
Grieser turned in a strong and consistent senior season for Bluffton during the 2025-2026 campaign, establishing himself as one of the top players in the ACAC. Averaging 18 points and five rebounds per game, Grieser provided a reliable offensive presence while also contributing on the glass, giving the Tigers balance on both ends of the floor. His ability to score in a variety of ways and carry the offensive load in key stretches made him a focal point for opposing defenses, and his steady leadership helped anchor Bluffton throughout the season as one of the conference’s most dependable teams.
AVERY MACFARLANE, LAKEWOOD PARK, SENIOR
MacFarlane delivered a dominant all-around senior season for Lakewood Park Christian in 2025-2026, establishing himself as one of the top players in Class 1A. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 20.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.5 blocks per game, showcasing rare versatility and the ability to impact the game in every phase. His consistent double-double production and inside-out scoring presence made him the focal point of the Panthers’ offense, while his rebounding and rim protection anchored the defense. MacFarlane led the area in rebounding per game this season.
SEBASTIAN MOORE, NORTH SIDE, SENIOR
Moore put together a strong senior season for North Side during the 2025-2026 campaign, emerging as the team’s top scoring option and a consistent offensive leader. He averaged 16.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game, leading the Legends in scoring while also contributing as a secondary playmaker and perimeter defender. Moore’s ability to create his own shot and produce steady offense night after night made him a focal point for opposing defenses, and his all-around production helped anchor North Side throughout the season as one of the more competitive teams in the SAC and a Sectional finalist. Moore will actually be continuing his career as an athlete in college playing football for Ball State.
LANDON RICHMOND, COLUMBIA CITY, SENIOR
Richmond put together an outstanding 2025-2026 season for Columbia City, emerging as one of the most versatile and productive forwards in the Northeast 8. The senior averaged 19.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 blocks per game, showcasing his ability to anchor the Eagles on the interior. Richmond’s blend of size, athleticism and skill made him a difficult matchup, whether scoring in the post or facilitating from the perimeter, and he consistently filled the stat sheet throughout the year. His production and leadership helped power Columbia City to a strong 24-5 season, a top-25 state ranking and Sectional and Regional titles. Richmond will continue his basketball career at Huntington University.
RYAN STUCKEY, ANGOLA, SENIOR
Stuckey delivered a highly productive and well-rounded senior season for Angola in 2025-2026, emerging as one of the most versatile players in the NECC. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 13.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2 steals and one block per game. His rebounding numbers were especially notable for a guard, ranking among the best in the area and highlighting his physicality and effort on the glass. Stuckey’s all-around production and leadership made him a consistent force for the Hornets, as he filled multiple roles and provided steady play on both ends of the floor throughout the season.
XAVIER WILSON, SNIDER, SENIOR
Wilson put together a strong all-around senior season for Snider in 2025-2026, emerging as one of the key playmakers for the Panthers during a successful postseason run. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game, showcasing his ability to score, facilitate and defend at a high level. Wilson’s versatility and control of the game helped power Snider to a sectional championship—part of a historic stretch for the program—and he consistently delivered as a leader in big moments throughout the year.
TARVAR BASKERVILLE, NEW HAVEN, JUNIOR
Baskerville put together a breakout 2025-2026 season for New Haven, emerging as one of the area’s top two-way guards while leading the Bulldogs on a run to the Class 3A state championship game. The junior averaged 16.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game, showcasing his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor while consistently drawing top defensive attention. His defensive presence was especially evident, earning him a spot on the Outside the Huddle All-Defensive Team, and he delivered on the biggest stage with a strong performance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse despite New Haven falling just short of the title.
JAYVON IRBY, SOUTH SIDE, JUNIOR
Irby put together an impressive junior season for South Side in 2025-2026 as they captured the SAC title, emerging as one of the team’s most versatile and impactful players. He averaged 12.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game, leading the Archers in assists while also ranking among the team leaders in scoring and rebounding. Irby’s ability to facilitate offense, crash the glass from the guard spot and contribute defensively made him a key piece for South Side.
TERRANCE JORDAN, SOUTH SIDE, JUNIOR
Jordan delivered a breakout 2025-2026 season for South Side, helping lead the Archers to a conference championship. The junior averaged 13 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.2 steals per game, leading the area in steals and ranking among the top defenders in Class 4A. His disruptive presence on the perimeter and ability to create offense made him a key catalyst for South Side’s success, earning him recognition as a member of the Outside the Huddle All-Defensive Team while anchoring one of the conference’s top teams from start to finish.
MACK WELKER, HOMESTEAD, JUNIOR
Welker turned in a dominant 2025-2026 season for Homestead, emerging as one of the top juniors in Indiana while leading the Spartans to Sectional and Regional titles. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 20.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game, making him one of just two players in the area to average a double-double on the season. His consistent double-double performances and ability to impact the game both inside and on the perimeter made him the focal point of Homestead’s offense and a matchup problem throughout the year. Welker’s standout campaign was recognized statewide, as he earned Indiana Junior All-Star honors.
AUSTIN SCHLABACH, WESTVIEW, JUNIOR
Schlabach delivered a stellar 2025-2026 season for Westview, cementing himself as one of the most complete players in Northeast Indiana while leading the Warriors to the Class 2A state championship game. The junior averaged 19.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 1 block per game, with an uncanny ability to impact every facet of the game as both a scorer and facilitator. His all-around production and leadership powered Westview through a dominant season and deep postseason run, culminating in a state runner-up finish. Schlabach’s standout campaign also earned him Indiana Junior All-Star honors. Schlabach led the area in assists per game.
BRYCE LACROSS, BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN, SOPHOMORE
LaCross upped his well respected game during 2025-2026 season for Blackhawk Christian. He averaged 19.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game, showcasing his versatility and his high level scoring ability with a calm presence. LaCross consistently delivered in big moments throughout the season, including a career-best 40-point performance during sectional play, further highlighting his scoring upside and confidence in bigger moments. His combination of size, skill and playmaking made him a focal point for the Braves and one of the most dynamic underclassmen in Northeast Indiana.
NILES KNOX, ANGOLA, SOPHOMORE
Knox put together an impressive 2025-2026 season for Angola as one of the top young forwards in the NECC while leading the Hornets in scoring. The sophomore averaged 16.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game, making a strong impact on the glass and defensively. Knox’s production made him a consistent focal point for Angola’s offense, and his physical presence and versatility helped anchor a Hornets team that put together a strong overall season to compete in the NECC.
JOSH MCBRIDE, NORWELL, SOPHOMORE
McBride turned in a highly productive and well-rounded 2025-2026 season for Norwell, while expanding his impact across the board. He averaged 17.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game, showing not only his ability to score at a high level as we’ve come to expect, but also contribute in every area for the Knights. His shooting ability consistently stretched defenses, but what stood out most was his growth as a complete player—rebounding in traffic, facilitating offense and making plays defensively.
DANIEL SELKING, BELLMONT, SOPHOMORE
Selking delivered a massive 2025-2026 season for Bellmont, emerging as one of the most prolific scorers in the northern half Indiana and the clear focal point of the Braves’ offense. The sophomore averaged 22.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game, leading both his team and the entire Outside the Huddle coverage area in scoring by over a point per game. Selking’s ability to consistently create his own shot and produce at a high level night after night made him one of the toughest covers in the region, and his scoring output was complemented by solid contributions across the board.
