No. 5: Addison Baxter, Columbia City

Baxter has broken the doors open as the must see player in the Class 0f 2025 and one of the most must see players in all of Northeast Indiana as she helps lead the charge again for Columbia City, with lofty expectations beside her. As the Eagles pushed to a historic start last season, Baxter never shied away from the forefront and made one of the best shifts from middle school to varsity that we have seen in the area in some time, leading the Eagles’ balanced lineup in scoring at 11.7 points per game.

The summer was a time that saw Division 1 teams start to line up for Baxter’s future services and we have to remember that she is only headed into her sophomore season. They like Baxter because she is tenacious in how she approaches every aspect of the game. She crashes the boards hard, though far from a post player, to the tune of 5.7 rebounds per game and also averaged 4.5 assists. That ability to grab a tough defensive board, get it and go, have the mind to get the ball in its best place in transition is something that is hard to fine but it makes Baxter’s game so captivating.

COACH’S QUOTE ON ADDISON BAXTER

“Slasher/scorer, has worked hard to improve her outside shot to be an all around threat, can create and get to the rim. [She] runs the floor well, is long and anticipates very well on defense; excellent rebounder at the guard spot,” – Columbia City coach Amy Shearer
