No. 3: Renna Schwieterman, Jay County
Coming off a junior All-Star season, all eyes are on Schwieterman in the ACAC where she will chase the top spot in scoring history in the conference, a race she is on pace to finish second all-time in. Considering the high level of scoring in the ACAC over its long, storied history, even second place would be a major accomplishment. Again last season, Schwieterman was one of Northeast Indiana’s top scorers at 18.3 points per game. She scored double figures 22 times and scored 20 or more points 11 times.
She is a highly skilled scorer and has found a way to bend Jay County’s offensive flow to her strengths as she works probably the best in Iso situations and can create space well. Using her size, speed and/or footwork, Schwieterman finds her range all over the court extremely well. The future Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodon excelled in expanding her game during her junior season. She led the Patriots in rebounding (5.8), assists (4.5) and steals (2.4).
