OTH FIRST ELEVEN 2021: No. 1 Landen Livingston

Outside the Huddle and Blitz are counting down who they feel are the top 50 individual players in northeast Indiana heading into the 2021 season.

Our highest preseason honor, the third-annual First Eleven profiles the top players (in the mind of OTH) entering this fall.

No. 1: OL/DL Landen Livingston, senior, Leo

Amidst all the flash and hype of skill position players in northeast Indiana, no one dominates their position(s) quite like Landen Livingston.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound West Virginia verbal commit is the anchor of Leo’s offensive and defensive lines. He is long, quick on his feet and shows a killer instinct to finish every single play with maximum effort.

Livingston, a three-star prospect according to 247Sports, projects at an offensive tackle at the next level, but make no mistake, he is a big problem for opponents when he lines up on defense.

What makes the senior special is his relentless drive, coupled with a true love for the game and his teammates. Livingston will not back down from a challenge, and will pick up his team in whatever way he can, with both actions and words.

In Leo’s run-heavy scheme, Livingston is the perfect centerpiece for a front line that goes underappreciated. Enjoy watching the senior this season before he heads to Morgantown.

COACH’S QUOTE ON LANDEN LIVINGSTON

“Landen is a very talented lineman who has great athleticism on top of his size and strength. His athleticism allows him to very effective at pulling and getting out and blocking second and third level defenders. He also finishes blocks as well as any player in the area. He is the anchor of both our offensive and defensive lines, and is also a great leader for our team.– Leo coach Jared Sauder
