Bishop Dwenger’s Brenden Lytle had the boys hoops Performance of the Week for Feb. 17-22

The penultimate week of high school boys basketball regular season has come and gone and you had one of your final chances to name a FAN VOTE Player of the Week.

In the end, you chose Bishop Dwenger’s Brenden Lytle off a more than solid performance against Leo. Lytle had 20 points and three steals on Wednesday in a 61-52 win over the Lions; it earned him 35.83 percent of the over 1,600 fan votes.

Other nominees included New Haven’s JaKar Williams, Wayne’s Quincy Miles, Central Noble’s Connor Essegian, Norwell’s Will Geiger, Columbia City’s Michael Sievers, Churubusco’s Landen Jordan, Carroll’s Ray Vollmer, Bellmont’s Kade Fuelling, Westview’s Charlie Yoder, South Side’s Treveon Jones and Fairfield’s Nolin Sharick.

These polls will run each Sunday through the season and are not considered a “player of the week,” but will instead focus on who had best performance in a single game during the week, NOT a body of work during the entire week.

Please note: nominees are selected from statistics provided by teams to Outside the Huddle. Is someone potentially missing? Make sure your coach is submitting game night stats and scoring to: othscores@gmail.com
