She scored a game high 16 points, scoring nine in the fourth quarter in a 64-25 win over New Haven on Saturday. In earned her 39.16 percent of the first FAN VOTE of the season.
Nelson beat out other nominees Emilia Diaz of Wayne, Allyson King of Eastside, Gabby Joyce of Woodlan, Kennedy Glenn of Bishop Luers, Hailee Kline of Blackhawk Christian, Brielle Harrison of Warsaw, TiAuna White of Northrop, Jaci Jones of South Side, Bree Dossen of Heritage, Rylie Parker of Homestead and Breann Barger of Norwell.
