With a new season looming, that means a new crop of senior basketball players about to embark on their final seasons on the high school hardwood or maybe even the hardwood overall.
Now there are plenty of big time seniors that you’ll find throughout Bounce’s Top 50 player countdown, but that doesn’t mean they are the only impact or breakout seniors that you will see this winter.
So here are 5 more names that Bounce wants you to know from the Class of 2027.
CLAUDIA STRACK, COLUMBIA CITY
Claudia Strack enters her senior season as a key piece of Columbia City’s frontcourt after averaging 8.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and earning Second Team All-NE8 honors as a junior. The 5-foot-11 forward gives the Eagles an experienced scoring option inside and a steady presence on the glass, providing valuable balance alongside their perimeter players. Her 17-point performance in a 68-28 victory over DeKalb last January offered a glimpse of her ability to take on a larger scoring role.
EVA SCARBEARY, HOMESTEAD
Eva Scarbeary enters her senior season with an opportunity to turn efficient contributions into a larger role for Homestead. The 5-foot-9 forward averaged 4.2 points, 3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.3 steals in just 11.6 minutes per game across 26 appearances as she was one waiting her turn for a bigger role at Homestead, shooting 52 percent from the field and 63 percent on two-point attempts. Scarbeary also brings momentum from her commitment to Indiana Tech and a successful summer with West Virginia Thunder.
MCKENZIE CARLSON, LAKELAND
McKenzie Carlson enters her senior season as a valuable all-around contributor in Lakeland’s backcourt after averaging 7.1 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.1 steals across 20 games. The 5-foot-4 guard’s production shows how many ways she can influence a game with both scoring and playmaking with impressive rebounding for her size and an ability to create extra possessions defensively. This is all going to be very important for a Lakeland team that will lean on her for much more during her senior season, also under a new head coach.
LEXIE PEOPLES, WOODLAN
Lexie Peoples enters her senior season as an important anchor in Woodlan’s frontcourt after averaging 5.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2 steals across 22 games in 2025-26. She finished second on the team in rebounding and third in scoring and steals, illustrating a value that extends well beyond putting points on the board. For Woodlan to make another push to be in ACAC contention, Peoples is going to be a valuable asset.
ALIVIA GREEN, NORWELL
Alivia Green enters her senior season as an experienced interior presence for Norwell, bringing a knack for creating extra possessions to a team replacing much of its veteran squad. The 5-foot-11 forward averaged 3.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 2025-26, with 76 of her 107 rebounds coming on the offensive glass—a clear indication of where she makes her biggest impact. Green also committed just 14 turnovers across 30 appearances, providing dependable minutes during the Knights’ run to the Class 4A state championship game. Her postseason contributions included eight points in the regional championship victory over Snider.
