I went big last week and was given another winning week. It’s a short week so not as many picks as usual but still a lot of peculiar matchups.
Last week: 15-2
22-23 record: 65-23 (.739)
Girls
Blackhawk Christian at DeKalb, Tuesday
The Braves are trending in the right direction while the Barons are not. Allie Boyer will be tough to stop inside. BOUNCE PICKS BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN
Garrett at Bishop Dwenger, Tuesday
Bailey Kelham is playing great. That’s not new. But the players around her are getting better in their roles and it’s paying off. It should do so against a struggling Saints squad. BOUNCE PICKS GARRETT
Prairie Heights at West Noble, Tuesday
Someone is getting their second win of the season. The Chargers have the best player on the floor. BOUNCE PICKS WEST NOBLE
Westview at Lakeland, Tuesday
A pair of teams that desperately need a win to avoid finishing in the bottom half of the conference. I went with the Warriors a couple weeks ago and they let me down. Don’t do it again. BOUNCE PICKS WESTVIEW
Bishop Luers at Snider, Wednesday
The Panthers are really hitting their stride and have won nine straight. The Knights have challenged a couple of teams who reside at the top of the SAC but they won’t be able to keep pace in the end against Snider. BOUNCE PICKS SNIDER
Concordia at Woodlan, Wednesday
The Warriors are unbeaten against future sectional opponents. They win this one and they will definitely be the team to beat in Sectional 21. BOUNCE PICKS WOODLAN
Warsaw at Huntington North, Thursday
The Vikings have been improving game by game on the defensive end, and the Tigers are a team that can score. Huntington North should keep it close to the end but Warsaw has too many options. BOUNCE PICKS WARSAW
Columbia City at North Central, Thursday
A good test for the Eagles against a team that plays really good competition. I’m going to pick Columbia City until I see a reason to do otherwise. BOUNCE PICKS COLUMBIA CITY
Boys
Fremont at Woodlan, Tuesday
Fremont is good and they might have the best win among area teams after beating Wayne on the road last week. Another tough road test at Woodlan, which is also good. Both teams have a loss that seems more and more like an outlier. The Eagles can really shoot it, which should help them here. BOUNCE PICKS FREMONT
Leo at Homestead, Tuesday
Jackson McGee is quickly rising up the ranks as one of the top scorers in the area, and Trey Hiteshew has been solid, but Homestead has Kyron Kaopuiki and Will Jamison AND Grant Leeper. BOUNCE PICKS HOMESTEAD
Westview at Lakeland, Tuesday
Two teams fighting against finishing in the middle or near the bottom of the NECC. The Lakers have more proven players behind their top scorer. BOUNCE PICKS LAKELAND
North Side at Northridge, Wednesday
Northridge provides the Legends with another good road test. North has won five in a row and starting to look like the team we all expected them to be at the start of the season. BOUNCE PICKS NORTH SIDE
Prairie Heights at West Noble, Wednesday
At this point you’re probably thinking, “Another game featuring an NECC team?” And you’d be right. But this one is pretty important and will go a long way in deciding the conference title. Both are unbeaten and have elite scoring talent. I’m going with the team that has a little more depth. BOUNCE PICKS WEST NOBLE
