Zach Hubartt of Huntington North is the FAN CHOICE 2022 Boys Basketball Player of the Year, sponsored by Craigville Appliance

After a final round that saw him earn over 87 percent of the vote, Huntington North’s resident FAN VOTE threat Zach Hubartt is the FAN CHOICE Player of the Year for the 2021-22 boys basketball season, sponsored by Craigville Appliance.

Outside the Huddle’s official award winners will be announced this week.

In the finals, Hubartt topped Bellmont’s Jack Schuemann with 87.21 percent of the over 4,200 votes cast.

In the semi final round, Hubartt beat out Central Noble’s Connor Essegian with 90.66 percent of the fan votes cast. The quarterfinal round saw Hubartt top Woodlan’s Joe Reidy with 74.15 percent of the fan vote.

In the opening round, Hubartt was the top vote recipient of the NE8’s Knight Region. There, he received 52.81 percent of the votes. Hubartt’s vote total from the first round was the best of any region.

In total, Hubartt received 9,164 FAN VOTES during the four rounds. In total, 25,750 votes were cast in this season’s final FAN VOTE.
