Week two of girls high school basketball is over and we have our first FAN CHOICE winner for having the Performance of the Week. Remember, during basketball season we look at a best single game performance and not a body of work for the nominees.
Your FAN VOTE narrowed down the top player from 10 nominees.
Huntington North’s Taylor Double scored 23 points and hit a buzzer beater for the win on Tuesday in a 45-42 win over Snider.
Thatcher secured 27.05 percent of the over 3,100 total votes cast.
Other nominees included Columbia City’s Kyndra Sheets, Carroll’s Taylor Fordyce, Northrop’s Saniya Jackson, Woodlan’s Avah Smith, Leo’s Leah May, Central Noble’s Madi Vice, Homestead’s Ayanna Patterson, Garrett’s Taylor Gerke and Jay County’s Renna Schwieterman
FAN CHOICE Player of the Week voting opens each Sunday and runs until the following Tuesday at 5 p.m.
