As the Bishop Dwenger Saints prepare to play for the Class 4A state title on Friday, their own TJ Tippman has won the final fan vote for Player of the Night for the 2018 season.
Tippmann ran for 86 yards and two touchdowns in the semi state round win over Mishawaka that sent the Saints to the title game on Thanksgiving weekend. Tippmann received 38.41 percent of the fan vote, sponsored by Rico’s Barbershop.
Other nominees included Bishop Dwenger teammate Brenden Lytle, Bishop Luers’ defense, Justin Gaston of Bishop Luers and Adams Central’s Logan Macklin.
