We conclude today with Class 1A as Fremont preps for a challenge at Triton.
TRITON (19-5) vs. CASTON (10-15), 9:30 A.M.
Fresh off an upset of North White in the sectional championship game, Caston faces a stiff challenge in this one against the host squad. Triton knocked off the Comets by 19 points in early February, a game in which Caston scored just 37 points.
Barring something exceptional, Caston is going to have trouble keeping up on the scoreboard in this one.
BOUNCE PICKS TRITON
FREMONT (12-11) vs. KOUTS (26-2), 12:30 P.M.
Fremont’s reward for its first sectional championship in 16 years is facing the No. 3 team in Class 1A and arguably the best overall squad in the class in the northern half of the state.
The Mustangs are an offensive juggernaut – averaging 76 points per game and led by Cole and Cale Wireman, twin seniors who combine to average 43 points per contest.
This feels like a game that Logan Brace needs to take control of and lead the Eagles if they are going to have any hope in this one. Look for someone like Ethan Bock to also be important in making some intangible plays as his game does have some solid, underrated range.
BOUNCE PICKS KOUTS
FINALS, 8 P.M.
Kouts and Barr-Reeve feel like they are on a collision course to battle for the Class 1A state championship. For that reason, Bounce goes with Kouts in the nightcap as Triton runs out of steam in the second half.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Logan Brace, Fremont: Scrappy and a tough on-ball defender, the All-NECC honoree will need to have the biggest game of his career against Kouts for the Eagles to advance.
Cole Wireman, Kouts: Wireman looks like the kid that bags your grocery order, but his basketball prowess and tenacity make him one of the best players in all of Class 1A. The 6-footer has scored in double digits in every game this season and averages close to 28 points a contest.
