Sectional champions were crowned but OTH’s fans had one more honor to hand out for Week 12’s Sectional finals. Concordia Lutheran Cadet Kam Johnson was made your FAN CHOICE Week 12 Player of the Night, sponsored by Craigville Appliance. It is Johnson’s second FAN VOTE win of this football season.
Johnson caught 2 passes for 105 yards (52.5 average) and 2 touchdowns, while also intercepting a pass and having 3.5 tackles in a 24-0 win over Norwell. Johnson had 43.34 percent of the over 9,400 total fan votes.
Other nominees included: Eastside’s Dax Holman, East Noble’s Cole Schupbach, South Adams’ James Arnold, North Side’s Arieon McCarter, Homestead’s Carter Cronenwett, Leo’s Dallen Wirtz, Bishop Luers’ Carson Clark, Bishop Dwenger’s Brenden Lytle and Warsaw’s Juan Antonio Jaramillo.
