Central Noble’s Lydia Andrews had the girls hoops Performance of the Week for the Sectional Round

Just six area girls basketball teams made it out of the Sectional round, but in the heavy week there were a lot of great performances. In the end, the FAN VOTE for Performance of the Week for Sectional week went to Central Noble’s Lydia Andrews.

Andrews scored a game high 21 points on Tuesday in a 54-31 win over Wawasee. It earned her 33.18 percent of the over 2,500 fan votes.

Other nominees included South Adams’ Peyton Pries, Bellmont’s Meghan Busick, Garrett’s Bailey Kelham, Norwell’s Maiah Shelton, Blackhawk Christian’s Hailee Kline, Carroll’s Emily Parrett, South Side’s Jaci Jones, Lakeland’s Bailey Hartsough, Homestead’s Rylie Parker and Northrop’s Destiny Jackson.

These polls will run each Sunday through the season and are not considered a “player of the week,” but will instead focus on who had best performance in a single game during the week, NOT a body of work during the entire week.

Please note: nominees are selected from statistics provided by teams to Outside the Huddle. Is someone potentially missing? Make sure your coach is submitting game night stats and scoring to: othscores@gmail.com
