Churubusco’s Mariah Hosted had the girls hoops Performance of the Week for Jan. 27 – Feb. 1

The final week of girls regular season action had mixed results and individual performances. But, the top players shined and Churubusco’s Mariah Hosted was picked by your FAN VOTE as having the Performance of the Week for January 27 through February 1.

Hosted’s second FAN VOTE win of the season came after she had a game high 20 points on Tuesday in a 52-44 win over South Adams. It earned her 27.71 percent of the vote.

Other nominees included Wayne’s Shabrea O’Quinn, Angola’s Kayla Fenstermaker, Adams Central’s Carly Holley, Bishop Luers’ Dori Javins, Blackhawk Christian’s Hailee Kline, Norwell’s Maiah Shelton, Heritage’s Bree Dossen, Homestead’s Sydney Graber and Concordia Lutheran’s LonDynn Betts.

These polls will run each Sunday through the season and are not considered a “player of the week,” but will instead focus on who had best performance in a single game during the week, NOT a body of work during the entire week.

Please note: nominees are selected from statistics provided by teams to Outside the Huddle. Is someone potentially missing? Make sure your coach is submitting game night stats and scoring to: othscores@gmail.com
