Snider’s Michael Eley has the boys hoops Performance of the Week for Dec. 16-21

Big scoring outputs from teams and individuals highlighted this week. In the end, the FAN VOTE shined down on Snider’s Michael Eley; he was selected by the fans as having the Performance of the Week for December 16-21 on the boys side.

Eley scored 23 points on Friday in a 101-70 win over North Side. It earned him 35.32 percent of the over 2,200 fan votes.

Other nominees included Prairie Heights’ Brandon Christlieb, Wayne’s Quincy Miles, Central Noble’s Connor Essegian, Blackhawk Christian’s Caleb Furst, Leo’s Blake Davison, Bellmont’s Tyler James, Columbia City’s Mitchell Wilson, Westview’s Charlie Yoder, Carroll’s Ryan Preston, Concordia Lutheran’s Brayden Pearson and Homestead’s Luke Goode.

These polls will run each Sunday through the season and are not considered a “player of the week,” but will instead focus on who had best performance in a single game during the week, NOT a body of work during the entire week.

Please note: nominees are selected from statistics provided by teams to Outside the Huddle. Is someone potentially missing? Make sure your coach is submitting game night stats and scoring to: othscores@gmail.com
