Leo’s Peyton Wall is the Player of the Night for Sectional week 1

The first week of Sectionals is in the books and many teams headed home for good as others advanced to the semi final round. After your FAN VOTE, Leo running back Peyton Wall was picked as the Player of the Night for the opening week of Sectional play, sponsored by Armor Exteriors.

Wall ran 19 times for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 21-16 win over Angola. That garnered him 43.78 percent of the more than 6,900 fan votes cast.

Wall beat out other nominees James Arnold of South Adams, Rowan Zolman of East Noble, Nick Birkmeier of Bishop Luers, Tucker Hasselman of Angola, Tanner Jack of DeKalb, Jalen Vanderbosch of Concordia Lutheran, Gage Pritchard of Heritage, Jakar Williams of New Haven and Brock Short of Fairfield.

Fan voting for Player of the Night opens each Saturday morning. You can choose your favorite candidate through the following Tuesday at noon.
