Adams Central’s Parker Bates is the Player of the Night for Regionals

Three area teams have won Regional titles and will play for a state title game spot this Friday.

Among those teams was Adams Central, who will face Pioneer in Class 1A this Friday. But last Friday, the Flying Jets tore through Monroe Central and Parker Bates was selected as the Player of the Night by a fan vote.

Bates ran the ball 15 times for 91 yards and four touchdowns and also threw for a touchdown in the win. He received 61.38 percent of the fan vote in the poll sponsored by Rico’s Barbershop.

Other nominees included Bishop Luers’ Jordan Presley and Norman Knapke, Snider’s Ethan Hoover, Bishop Dwenger’s Patrick Finely and Devon Tippmann.

Voting for the Outside the Huddle Player of the Night for prep football opens each Saturday morning and runs through the following Monday night with the winner being announced each Tuesday on OutsidetheHuddle.net
