No. 5: Karysn Schwieterman, Jay County
Karsyn Schwieterman gave Jay County a second major scoring threat alongside her sister Hallie in 2025–26, averaging 18.7 points as a freshman while shooting 54 percent from the field. She also led the Patriots with 6.3 rebounds per game and added 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals, production that made her an impact player across the floor from the start of her varsity career. After earning a spot on Outside the Huddle’s All-Freshman Team, Schwieterman enters her sophomore season with a chance to take an even bigger role in Jay County’s offense.
She opened up her high school career with a 17 point right out of the gate and had her first career double double in just her fourth high school game. She posted four more double doubles before the year was complete and scored 20 or more points on 11 occasions with a career high of 31 points against Concordia. She had a season best 7 steals against Southern Wells.
COACH’S QUOTE ON SCHWIETERMAN
“Karsyn is elite. She has a chance to be really special. I am excited to watch her development on both ends of the floor. The sky’s the limit for her.” – Jay County coach Donna Buckley
