Outside the Huddle has learned that North Side football coach Ben Johnson was removed from his position within the program and in the school on Monday.
North Side principal David West also lost his job.
It is unknown at this time the reasoning behind the firings.
Jaylon Smith has been named interim head coach, with Larry Davis Jr. to be associate head coach.
Ben Johnson was 24-28 in six seasons with the Legends. His best campaign was 2022 when North Side went 8-3 overall.
North Side dropped a 19-0 game at East Noble in Week 1. The Legends are set to play at New Haven on Friday.
