Your first opportunity to vote at Outside the Huddle for the 2026 High School Football season is upon us!
Voting is now open for the annual Preseason Player of the Year Fan Vote. Voting in the first round is open today and runs through Noon on August 3! Vote early, vote often, just vote for your favorite northeast Indiana player based on the 40 who open fan voting today.
The opening round will feature four ‘polls ‘Regions’ each with 10 players. Each Region is named after one of the last four official Outside the Huddle Player of the Year winners: Carroll’s Jaidon Van Pelt, Garrett’s Calder Hefty, Leo’s Kaden Hurst and North Side’s Jontae Lambert.
The top 2 vote recipients in each ‘Region’ will advance to the quarterfinals on August 3. See below for a complete schedule of the fan voting this preseason and then click on each of the region images to vote!
July 28-August 3 at Noon: First Round ‘Region’ Voting
August 3-August 7 at Noon: Quarterfinal Top 8 Voting
August 7-August 11 at Noon: Semi Final Top 4 Voting
August 11-August 14 at Noon: Final Round Voting
August 14: Preseason Player of the Year Fan Vote winner announced
