Each week, Bounce will pick Games on the boys side for the rest of the season. Looking to highlight the big games and the best matchups in the area. Unlike Blitz, we can’t quite pick every game because we don’t get to only play on Fridays, am I right?
If you know how Bounce picks, you know its different than that prognosticating bear in the fall. No projected scores or spreads here. Basketball is too unpredictable for silliness like that.
LAST TIME: 9-4
THIS SEASON: 141-46
LAST SEASON: 136-66
BOYS GAMES
CARROLL AT NORWELL, TUESDAY
The Castle often proves formidable, but so does Carroll. The Chargers are a hot hand and Friday’s win over Homestead makes them even more dangerous right now. The free throws my Dom Keferl were clutch, but the drive to the basket from Brody Fisher to even get there last Friday was huge. Who wants to step in his way? BOUNCE PICKS CARROLL
DEKALB AT HERITAGE, TUESDAY
Two teams looking to carry momentum into the postseason in Sectionals they can compete in, this is an important one. DeKalb’s aggression last week carried them over their county rivals. Brady Vince has been strong for the Barons. BOUNCE PICKS DEKALB
LEO AT BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN, TUESDAY
The Braves are coming off topping the SAC champions and may be playing at their peak. This weak can’t be a let up for them with a heavy Sectional coming their way including a tough first round game next Tuesday. BOUNCE PICKS BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN
NEW HAVEN AT SOUTH SIDE, THURSDAY
Who wants to clock the pace on this one? Certainly this will be the anti-shot clock game in Fort Wayne this season. Expect a torrid pace, a lot of physicality and a need for real toughness to get through this one as the NE8 and SAC champions battle in the final days of the regular season. This may be the most enjoyable game of the week. BOUNCE PICKS SOUTH SIDE
ANGOLA AT LAKELAND, FRIDAY
A year ago, this was a really good game. Will it be again? Well someone is going to have to flip the script from last week where in their most recent games Lakeland won in the closing seconds with 37 total points while Angola is coming off scoring 93. BOUNCE PICKS ANGOLA
BISHOP LUERS AT CARROLL, FRIDAY
The final SAC game of the year means nothing officially, but if you are Carroll and you can get this win and improve to 7-2 in the SAC, it means massive things for the program and where it has risen back to. Luers is peaking at the right times too, getting tough wins in their favor. Sorry Thursday showdown, but this may be the game of the week. BOUNCE PICKS CARROLL
HUNTINGTON NORTH AT FAIRFIELD, SATURDAY
A fun, kind of random match up to close out the regular season. Both of these teams are physical, long down low but also provide an array of hot shooting hands at times. It is a long haul up for the Vikings, but as long as bus lag isn’t a thing, they just have more consistent weapons. BOUNCE PICKS HUNTINGTON NORTH
