Outside the Huddle and Blitz are counting down who they feel are the top 50 individual players in northeast Indiana heading into the 2025 season.

Our highest preseason honor, the 7th annual First Eleven profiles the top players (in the mind of Outside the Huddle) entering the fall.

No. 9: RB/WR Caleb Kiengele, junior, North Side

Kiengele has been wowing people since middle school with his athletic abilities. Now a junior, he just keeps getting better and more dominant with each passing season.

Kiengele is pure muscle. He is powerful but spry, strong but agile. He can outrun you. He can run you over. Despite being “only” 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, there is no one you want coming at you in this area less than Kiengele, because you know you are going to pay for it to bring him down.

As a sophomore, Kiengele rushed for 744 yards and five touchdowns as he transitioned more into a running back rather than lining up closer to the outside as he did as a freshman. But he also hauled in eight receptions and a touchdown last fall.

Now the primary option in the backfield for North Side, Kiengele is primed to put up some big numbers in 2025.
