
After just under 190,000 final round votes, the first FAN CHOICE winner of the 2025 prep football season is East Noble’s Hunter, named your Fan Choice Preseason Player of the Year, presented by Crazy Pinz.
Shire earned 66.4 percent of the final round vote over Northrop’s David Callison.
advanced to the finals with a semi final win over Bluffton’s AJ Streveler, earning 53.7 percent of the vote in that battle. In the quarterfinals, he earned 62.8 percent of the vote over North Side’s Maalik Moore. He advanced to the quarterfinals by placing 2nd in his opening round region and 8th of 8 overall in players who advanced from the region round, earning 26.7 percent of the vote during the opening round.
Overall, Shire earned 198,401 total votes during the four rounds of voting; 704,600 total votes were cast in this season’s Preseason Player of the Year Fan Choice vote.
Shire opens the season this Friday as his East Noble Knights visit the Wayne Generals.
Fan voting during the regular season will open every Saturday for the FAN CHOICE Player of the Week for Friday (or Saturday) action.
