After four rounds and hundreds of thousands of votes, Kloe Krieg of Whitko is YOUR choice for the FAN CHOICE Preseason Player of the Year ahead of the 2023-24 girls basketball season.
With 55.9 percent of the over 191,000 votes cast in the final round, Krieg bested Snider’s Jordyn Poole in the final round of the fan vote.
The opening round of regional voting, Krieg was second in voting in the ‘Hunter Region’ with 34.1 percent of the votes.
In the quarterfinals, Krieg defeated Gracie Fields of Huntington North with 57.1 percent of the vote.
In the semi final round, Krieg defeated Homestead’s Whitney Ankenbruck with 61.6 precent of the vote.
Overall, Krieg tallied 213,056 total votes in the four rounds.
