After more than 5,500 votes, week one belongs to Eastside. Briar Munsey lit up the field on opening Friday night against Woodlan, showing very much that the Blazers are still rolling.
Munsey ran 16 times for 201 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also intercepted a pass and had five tackles in a 50-24 win over Woodlan. The two way player dominated the field as one of the biggest breakout performers, let alone best performers, of Week 1 of the 2022 season.
Your FAN VOTE was a close one, with Munsey earning over 31 percent of the vote to be named the Week 1 Player of the Night, sponsored by Craigville Appliance.
