A big week, an even bigger win. It was a closing minutes 70 yard drive that propelled this week’s FAN CHOICE for Player of the Week for the opening night of Sectional play.
Your FAN VOTE narrowed down the top player in week six from 12 nominees.
Leo’s Jackson Barbour led that drive to beat East Noble. He completed 8 of 10 passes with a touchdown with 5 seconds to play for the 32-29 win over East Noble. He also ran for a touchdown.
Barbour had a whopping 57.03 percent of the over 7,000 fan votes cast.
Other nominees included Prairie Heights’ Jaden Daniels, Wayne’s Avant Rodgers, Adams Central’s Blake Heyerly, Eastside’s Dylan Bredemeyer, Central Noble’s Will Hoover, Columbia City’s Greg Bolt, DeKalb’s Tegan Irk, Garrett’s Robert Koskie, East Noble’s Nick Munson and South Adams’ Owen Wanner.
FAN CHOICE Player of the Week voting opens each Saturday and runs until the following Tuesday at noon.
