Week two of high school football is in the books for the 2021 season.
There were a lot of big time performances, lots of yardage and many touchdowns. But in the end, your FAN VOTE narrowed down week 2’s top player from 12 nominees.
Central Noble picked up a big win, partially on the hard charging legs of Will Hoover. He ran 19 times for 238 yards and four touchdowns and had 7 tackles in a 42-16 win over Woodlan.
Hoover registered 26.7 percent of the over 5,000 fan votes to be the Craigville Appliance Week 2 FAN VOTE Player of the Week.
Other nominees included Carroll’s Jameson Coverstone, Eastside’s Dax Holman, Garrett’s Aaden Lytle, Norwell’s Jon Colbert, South Adams’ Mav Summersett, Leo’s DJ Allen, Bishop Dwenger’s Colin Vance, Churubusco’s Hunter Bianski, South Side’s Jaylen Lattimore, Homestead’s Nate Anderson and South Side’s Trevor Hapner.
FAN CHOICE Player of the Week voting opens each Saturday and runs until the following Tuesday at noon.
