Olivia Smith of South Side is the FAN CHOICE for girls basketball Player of the Year

After over 61,000 total votes in just the final round of voting, your FAN CHOICE for girls basketball Player of the Year for the 2020-2021 season is South Side’s Olivia Smith.

Smith edged Lakeland’s Bailey Hartsough in the final round of voting with 59.04 percent of the vote.

To get to the finals, Smith topped Bluffton’s Emme Boots in the semi final round, Snider’s Jordyn Poole in the quarterfinal round and was the top vote getter of the SAC’s Charger Region in the opening round to advance to the quarterfinals.

In all four rounds, Smith accumulated 42,448 total votes of the 105,028 that were cast over the past two weeks.
