Two teams made it from our area to Lucas Oil Stadium to compete for a state title over the weekend. Although neither came out victorious, a lot of great plays and moments gave us two nominees yes from each school. At the end of voting, South Adams Starfire Brayden Gilbert was made your FAN CHOICE State Finals Player of the Week, sponsored by Craigville Appliance.
Gilbert had a team high nine tackles, an interception and a sack in a 41-40 loss to Covenant Christian. It earned him 60.67 percent of the vote.
Other nominees included: South Adams’ James Arnold, Bishop Luers’ Brody Glenn and Bishop Luers’ Carson Clark.
A new FAN CHOICE Player of the Week poll for football appears every Saturday on OutsideTheHuddle.net with voting running through the following Tuesday at noon during football season. This was the final weekly FAN VOTE of the 2020 football season.
