Regional titles were won by two area teams on Friday night, but we had nominees for the Player of the Night from all six teams that played for a crown. Concordia Lutheran Cadet Sam Hudson was made your FAN CHOICE Regional Player of the Night, sponsored by Craigville Appliance.
Hudson ran 26 times for 86 yards, caught a pass for 13 yards and had 7 tackles (including six solo) in a 28-18 loss to Bishop Chatard. It earned Hudson 54.6 percent of the over 11,000 fan votes.
Other nominees included: Bishop Dwenger’s Brenden Lytle, South Adams’ James Arnold, Bishop Luers’ Krashaun Menson, East Noble’s Justin Marcellus and Homestead’s Nate Anderson.
