As the season narrows down, teams are looking for different competitive advantages. DeKalb chose recently to make a quarterback swith and it paid off with a win and helping DeKalb Baron Tegan Irk be your choice as the Week 8 Player of the Night, sponsored by Craigville Appliance.
Irk completed 17 of 28 passes for 269 yards and four touchdowns in a 40-13 win over Bellmont on Friday night. That earned Irk 45.09 percent of the over 12,000 votes cast this week.
