Snider’s Dillon Duff is the FAN VOTE Preseason Player of the Year

After 10 days of voting, the FANS of Outside the Huddle have spoken and Snider senior Dillon Duff is the winner of the FAN VOTE for boys basketball Preseason Player of the Year.

Duff beat out Lakewood Park’s Caedmon Bontrager in the finals with 56.91 percent of the over 17,000 votes in the final round.

In the semifinal round, Duff beat out New Haven’s Donovynn Lewis; in the quarterfinals, Duff beat Blackhawk Christian’s Zane Burke. In the opening round of voting, Duff finished second in the ‘Ali Ali Region’ behind Wayne’s Quincy Miles, earning him the #2 overall seed for the top 8.

Through all four rounds, Duff earned 22,872 total votes. This is the second straight year that Duff has won the Preseason Player of the Year FAN VOTE. On Friday, he was named as part of Outside the Huddle’s ‘First Five’ as one of the top 5 players in the area this season.

In total, the FAN VOTE for Preseason Player of the Year brought in 109,052 votes.
