Bishop Dwenger’s Brenden Lytle is the Week 7 Player of the Night

Games were back to (almost) exclusively Friday night this week and rivalry week in the SAC took center stage. One of those classic rivalries came in the ‘Battle of the Bishops’ and that brought us to Bishop Dwenger’s Brenden Lytle being the Player of the Night for Week 7.

Lytle was 8-of-13 throwing the ball for 310 yards and a two touchdown passes in 47-0 win over Bishop Luers in the ‘Battle of the Bishops.’ He received 29.48 percent of the more than 3,500 fan votes. Lytle is the first player from the SAC to win the FAN VOTE for Player of the Night this season.

Other nominees for week 7 were South Adams’ James Arnold, Bluffton’s Kain Thornton, West Noble’s Gustavo Taylor, Leo’s Jackson Barbour, East Noble’s Justin Marcellus, North Side’s Jordan Turner, Homestead’s Jared Kistler, New Haven’s Jamarr Hutchins, Snider’s Alonzo Derrick, Churubusco’s Jake Fulk and Concordia’s Amir Drew.

Fan voting for Player of the Night opens each Saturday morning. You can choose your favorite candidate through the following Tuesday at noon.
