After two weeks and almost 60,000 votes, the final FAN VOTE of the boys basketball season has come to an end with Snider’s Dillon Duff taking the crown of the Performer of the Year in the votes and opinion of our readers at Outside the Huddle.
Duff, the leading scorer for the Panthers during the 2018-2019 season was a staple of FAN VOTING throughout the season. He was picked for having the Performance of the Week on three different occasions and was also the winner of the FAN VOTE for Preseason Player of the Year.
Duff beat out Blackhawk Christian’s Zane Burke in the final round of voting by earning 58.18 percent of the over 12,000 final round votes.
In the semifinals, Duff beat out Northrop’s Sydney Curry and in the quarterfinals, he was voted by Blackhawk Christian’s Frankie Davidson. In the opening round, Duff was the top vote recipient overall and in the Warrior Region that both he and eventual co-finalist Burke were part of.
In all four rounds, Duff amassed 14,663 total votes. In all four rounds, our readers cast nearly 60,000 votes.
