Prairie Heights’ Mike Perkins has the Performance of the Week for boys hoops (Feb. 18-23)

In the last week of the regular season, it was Prairie Heights’ Mike Perkins who took home the FAN VOTE for Performance of the Week, sponsored Ellen Vance of Ruoff Home Mortgage.

Perkins led all scorers with 28 points on Monday in a 67-61 win over Central Noble as the Panthers prepared for their Class 2A Sectional. Central Noble and Prairie Heights are both considered contenders in their sectional.

Other nominees included East Noble’s Brent Cox, Huntington Norths Zach Daugherty, Homestead’s Zak Krueger, Bishop Dwenger’s Hayden Smithey, Snider’s Michael Eley, South Adams’ Nick Miller, Central Noble’s Connor Essegian, Concordia’s Adam Gottschalk, Columbia City’s Mitchell Wilson, Blackhawk Christian’s Zane Burke and Carroll’s Dan McKeeman.
