Northrop’s Destiny Jackson has the Performance of the Week for girls hoops (Nov. 26 – Dec. 1)

Winning efforts and losing efforts gave way to solid scoring efforts across the area certainly in the SAC. After a close vote of Summit Athletic Conference players, Northrop’s Destiny Jackson won the FAN VOTE, sponsored by Ellen Vance of Ruoff Home Mortgage.

She scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds on Friday in a 78-63 loss to Bishop Dwenger, where the Bruins threatened the Saints throughout the game.

Jackson earned 38.76 percent of the over 3,800 fan votes.

Other nominees included South Side’s Jaci Jones, Homestead’s Kara Gealy, Jay County’s Shelby Caldwell, Bishop Dwenger’s Molly Ream, Carroll’s Emily Parrett, Norwell’s Kaylee Fuelling, Concordia’s Carissa Garcia, Hometead’s Rylie Parker and Lakeland’s Bailey Hartsough.
