The opening week of boys high school basketball in Northeast Indiana is officially in the bag and players didn’t hold back from big time performances. From the nominee field, East Noble’s Brent Cox earned the fan vote for November 19-24’s boys basketball Performance of the Week, sponsored by Ellen Vance of Ruoff Home Mortgage.
Cox had 28 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists on Tuesday in a win over West Noble to officially open the season for the Knights and the area.
Cox registered 32.8 percent of the nearly 3,000 fan votes.
Other nominees included South Side’s JT Langston Jr., Westview’s Charlie Yoder, Central Noble’s Sawyer Yoder, Carroll’s David Ejah, Whitko’s Spencer Sroufe, Bellmont’s Kade Fuelling and Homestead’s Zak Krueger.
