More great offensive performances made headlines this week in girls high school basketball. From the nominee field of 10, Bishop Dwenger’s Emma Lyons earned the fan vote for November 12-17’s Performance of the Week, sponsored by Ellen Vance of Ruoff Home Mortgage.
Lyons had the top single game performance according to the fan vote. She scored 26 points and hit eight of 11 three point shots in a loss last Tuesday to Bellmont.
The freshman scored just under 40 percent of the 2,000-plus votes.
Other nominees included Bellmont’s Grace Hunter, Westview’s Ashya Klopfenstein, Lakeland’s Bailey Hartsough, Central Noble’s Sydney Freeman, Carroll’s Emily Parrett, Concordia’s Carissa Garcia, Homestead’s Ayanna Patterson, Whitko’s Ellie Snep and South Side’s Olivia Smith.
