Outside the Huddle’s first ever fan vote poll is complete and Berne, Indiana showed out for the vote.
Christian Summersett of South Adams earned nearly half of the 1,000-plus votes after his career breakout week in the wake of the Starfires losing Nic Stuber to a season ending ACL injury.
Summersett ran for 207 yard on 17 carries (an averaged of 12.2 yards per carry) and the sophomore also scored three times as the the Starfires came back from an early deficit to defeat Heritage in week four.
He beat out Wayne’s Craig Young, Concordia Lutheran’s Jake Byrd, Northrop’s Jeremiah Green, Angola’s Chase Schnepf and the Bishop Dwenger defense.
