Recently, we unveiled our plan to name area programs’ top five players of the 21st century, which sits at 25 seasons in both football and basketball.
Reminder, this is based on high school career performance ONLY. This is by no means a definitive list and, if anything, is encouraging debate on potential omissions to this list.
Through exhaustive research, reaching out to former coaches and players and our own personal opinion, here is the OTH Quarter Century Team for Fremont Eagles girls basketball.
Note: The list is in alphabetical order
Brooke Boggs
Boggs distinguished herself as a prolific scorer and guard, finishing her high school career with 1,288 points, which places her among the top scorers in the school’s history in second place. After graduating, she went on to play college basketball as a guard at IUPUI (or the associated IU-Indianapolis program). In 2020, she was inducted into the Fremont Hall of Fame. Boggs was the highest scoring player in program history when she graduated in 2002.
Addy Parr
During her time at Fremont, Parr developed into one of the most consistent scorers and versatile backcourt threats for the program. She closed her career with 1,058 points (4th all-time at Fremont), and as a senior she averaged 11.1 points per game, often anchoring Fremont’s guard play. Her style blended slashing offense, defensive pressure (notably in steals), and gradual improvement in perimeter shooting, making her a dual-threat guard. Outside of basketball, she excelled in volleyball, softball, and track, highlighting her all-around athleticism.
Jada Rhonehouse
Jada Rhonehouse distinguished herself on the basketball court by joining the 1,000-Point Club with 1,022 total points and serving as a primary scoring and playmaking guard during her years with Fremont. Rhonehouse is the 5th highest scorer in program history. In key postseason moments she produced big games, such as a 14-point, 4-assist performance in a tight sectional win as a senior. Her consistent impact carried over into the collegiate level, where she now suits up for Trine University.
Shae Rhonehouse
Shae Rhonehouse was a dominant guard and multi-sport athlete, finishing her career with over 1,000 points and averages of 19.1 points, 8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. Her 1,514 career points still ranks first among all Fremont girls basketball players. She was a four-year varsity letterwinner, earned all-conference and all-area honors, and was selected Second Team All-State as well as all-state honorable mention by Hoosier Basketball Magazine. She also broke school single-game records for free throws made (24) and attempted (29) and has the two best scoring seasons (466 and 420) in program history. After high school, she went on to play at Purdue University Northwest.
Grace Scharlach
At Fremont, Grace Scharlach emerged early as a lead guard and two-way producer, averaging 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.4 steals across her first two varsity seasons, with a sophomore jump to 14.9 ppg and elite free-throw shooting (87%). Her scoring pace put her among the NECC leaders, and she earned IBCA Underclass HM All-State plus multiple local Performer of the Week nods after several 20-point outings. Her production during her first two seasons lend to her placement already among one of the Fremont greats. Her 403 points as a sophomore is the third best single season in program history.
