No. 1 – GABBY HELSOM – HOMESTEAD
Helsom is a dominant two-way force for Homestead. Last season, she led the Spartans in scoring with 18.9 points per game while adding 3.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per contest on elite efficiency—shooting 51% from the field and 85% from the free-throw line. A Toledo commit and Indiana Junior All-Star, Helsom’s ability to score at all three levels made her one of the most feared offensive players in the state. She combined smooth perimeter shooting with explosive drives to the rim and a high basketball IQ that allowed her to read defenses and exploit mismatches. Beyond her scoring, Helsom’s defensive discipline and leadership anchored Homestead on both ends of the floor.
Coach’s Quote on Gabby:
“Gabby emerged as one of the most consistent scorers in the state last year while shooting the ball at a very high level. She is a versatile scorer who can score at all three levels and is an excellent rebounder. Gabby is a great leader and pushes herself to be the best she can be every time she steps on the court.” – Homestead coach Rod Parker
