Bounce’s Picks for the week of November 15-20

Back again for another week of picks, and if I do say so myself, last week was a success minus my upset pick and that darn Taylor. Double buzzer beater.

Each week, Bounce will pick 10 or more games in the area that draw his interest.

*Unlike Blitz, we aren’t picking spreads here…just winners

LAST WEEK: 8-2

2021-22 RECORD: 8-2

Bellmont at Bishop Dwenger, Tuesday

It has been a solid start for the Saints, but Bellmont has been a pleasant surprise as well. This could come down to who has the more seasoned players. The Saints have the home court advantage here, but something tells me that the Squaws will be able to control this one. BOUNCE PICKS BELLMONT

Snider at Columbia City, Tuesday

The Eagles are running wild right now as one of the hottest early season teams in the area. We know right now that the upper end of the NE8 can compete with Snider and that says a lot about the conference. This one is going to be projected to be a lot closer now than it was last week. It’s a toss up, no disrespect to either side. BOUNCE PICKS SNIDER

Huntington North at Carroll, Tuesday

Speaking off the upset minded Vikings, here they are with another high end challenge from the SAC. Carroll is good, they have depth and can be consistent. But after last week, picking against HN seems silly. BOUNCE PICKS HUNTINGTON NORTH

Norwell at Bishop Luers, Wednesday

Bishop Luers has played really good basketball to this point but face their biggest challenge. Addie Shank has become a monster on the glass and to see how she can rebound against Norwell’s interior is interesting. This comes down to who can shoot the ball better and my hypothetical money leans one way. BOUNCE PICKS NORWELL

Angola at Eastside, Friday

Angola has had a tough few weeks, but Lauren Leach has answered the call to be a better scorer. Eastside has been surprising after their losses to graduation. The Blazers have some work to do though to be in the upper echelon of the NECC. While Angola has some work to do to, they are much closer to accomplishing their goal. BOUNCE PICKS ANGOLA

Northrop at Carroll, Friday

Here is one that could clip the SAC hopes of one team very early. A bit of an interesting storyline too given the move to Northrop by the Jackson twins to play for their mom this season. The fact that Saniya Jackson returned without missing a beat from a devastating injury makes the Bruins the biggest threat. BOUNCE PICKS NORTHROP

Snider at Bishop Luers, Friday

Two teams we’ve mentioned before, battling here to not take what could be an insurmountable early season conference loss. I really think this one depends in ways on how both of them play earlier this week. Expect a pretty solid matchup, but speed wins out. BOUNCE PICKS SNIDER

South Side at Wayne, Friday

With Wayne looking to keep their forward progress and the Archers struggling out of the gate, we look at this one where Wayne could get their most marquee win in years with the right game deployed. Something tells me that South Side is going to play mad though. BOUNCE PICKS SOUTH SIDE

Jay County at Bellmont, Friday

Jay County is 50% at their tough early season schedule, but both games have made them more explosive. Reality: Renna Schwieterman can score against anyone and Bellmont doesn’t have a stopper for her. BOUNCE PIKCS JAY COUNTY

East Noble at North Side, Saturday

Why does this make the docket? Because both teams want a win after a tough start and a tough couple of years. They both have some youth and rough shooting to overcome. BOUNCE PICKS NORTH SIDE

Noblesville at Homestead, Saturday

It is almost like Homestead really took last year to heart. They were good, but fell short of a lot of goals. Nothing about this year’s team seems to be falling short. BOUNCE PIKCS HOMESTEAD

Union City at South Adams, Saturday

The Starfires will finally start their season with back to backs on Friday and Saturday. People aren’t talking about them enough in the ACAC race so it will be fun to see them get going this week. Union City enters the week 4-0 and new South Adams coach Wayne Kreiger sits 12 wins away from 600 in his historic career. BOUNCE PICKS SOUTH ADAMS
